To celebrate Cup week we are giving away a 2.5% share in our Charm Spirit x Black Beauty colt with all expenses paid up until the end of 2018 to be trained by multiple Group 1 winning trainer Mark Kavanagh.

Charm Spirit has taken the Northern Hemisphere by storm. A multiple Group 1 winner, he demonstrated his versatility by winning as a 2yo and rated as the second highest 3yo in the world in the mile category on turf in 2014. He is also the highest earning son of sire sensation Invincible Spirit. Dam, Black Beauty is a proven producer with multiple winner Beauty's Beast, Yanson and Beauty's Rose. 


This prize is valued at $3682, from January 1 2019 the winner is required to pay a fixed $125/month - this includes training fees, routine vet expenses, local travel, spelling and agistment.

Competition runs from Derby Day 3/11/18 to Final Day 10/11/18 and the winner will be announced on Wednesday 14/11/18.


  • The winner will be notified via email (supplied on mailing list) and mentioned via our social media sites and will be randomly selected.
  • The winning entrant also agrees to have their name and photo to be used on our social media platforms and website and may be interviewed for promotional purposes.


  • The winner will be listed as a registered owner of 2.5% share of Jewel Racing’s Charm Spirit x Black Beauty colt to be trained by Mark Kavanagh through Racing Australia
  • All costs will be covered by Jewel Racing (training, agistment, spelling, pre-training, insurance, vet, farrier, dental etc) until 31st December 2018
  • From 1st January 2019 the winning entrant is responsible for all ongoing costs – priced at a fixed $124.50/month for maintenance, training, routine vet treatments, local travel, spelling and agistment costs. There may be extra costs for feature race entry, interstate travel, specific vet treatment.
